The Health Corner
The Health Corner

Four hubs, with health
at the heart.

One GP voice, four hubs, and a shared aim: to make health more accessible, practical, and useful.

The Workplace Wellness Hub. The Hormonal Hub. The Medical Advisory Hub. The Media Hub.

Each serves a different audience, all anchored by the same evidence-led GP voice.

The Why

Built from the consulting room.

The Health Corner started with a pattern: sign-off after sign-off for workplace stress, blood pressure quietly running high in chronic overworkers, menopause symptoms misread as performance issues.

The same conditions repeating across postcodes and sectors — most of them preventable, but the people most at risk were the people least likely to find their way to a GP early enough.

The Health Corner exists to close that gap. To bring the conversation that should happen in a consulting room into the workplaces, homes, products, and conversations where people already are. One GP can't be in a thousand consulting rooms. But content, courses, policies, and advisory work can travel.

That's the portfolio GP idea. Clinical authority extended beyond clinical hours.

Meet Dr Helena

Portfolio GP. Founder. Advisor.

The Health Corner is the portfolio practice of Dr Helena Adjei, a practising NHS GP — extending clinical authority beyond the consulting room into the workplaces, homes, products, and conversations where people already are.

Dr Helena Adjei is an NHS General Practitioner in East London, a lifestyle medicine practitioner, and the founder of The Health Corner — an umbrella brand for her four hubs of work beyond the consulting room.

She is passionate about the breadth of general practice and the way one clinical background can grow into several meaningful areas of work. Her interests include prevention, lifestyle and preventive medicine, women's health, workplace wellbeing, gut health, health technology, health AI, health education, patient empowerment, advisory work, and health communication — and she sees these areas as complementary rather than competing.

The Health Corner was born from that same idea: to extend clinical voice beyond the consulting room in ways that are accessible, practical, and impactful.

She completed her MBBS, earned her MRCGP, and was awarded an MRes with Distinction in medical sciences at the Quadram Institute — one of Europe's leading centres for food and microbiome research. Her peer-reviewed co-authored work focuses on gut microbiome interventions in preterm neonates, complementing the current evidence-based work she does in lifestyle medicine.

She is a member of the British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, with Core Accreditation in progress, and is undertaking the British Menopause Society Menopause Specialist Certificate. Alongside her clinical work, she teaches medical students and presents to GP colleagues and ICB members.

A portfolio GP, building a body of work that extends what a clinician can be.
